Testimonials
I have several health problems, and some of them affect my kidneys and my bowels. I am unable to make meals on my own. Before, I would just eat frozen dinners. Now I get fresh and healthy homemade meals delivered right to my door. The meal deliveries are very important for me.
Elmo
My husband has a disease that affects his cognitive function, and he can’t be left alone. I receive respite support from someone who is so reliable and responsible. I can hear them laugh, and they go for walks together. They pick mushrooms in the forest, or pull carrots from the community garden, or peel potatoes for poutines. This has allowed me to do an online course that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. It is very good for our mental health. The respite service helps me relax and have some time for me.
Denise
I’m a volunteer for delivering meals. I’m the same age as many of them. I’m still in good health, and I’m happy to be able to help them.
Murielle
I volunteer in the kitchen to make the home delivery meals, and I have helped with the coffee chats since Bien vieillir chez soi first started. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing I can help someone in need. It’s very rewarding!
Gloria
I appreciate everything that you do for me. Edith has helped me understand some of my bills and has helped me reduce the cost tremendously for some of them. We were being charged double for services that we didn’t even use. I also appreciate the social gatherings that help me talk to others.
Louise
Aging In Place welcomed us with open arms when we moved here from Quebec. I’m a caregiver for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease. The coffee chats help us get our mind off things by chatting with other people. It also helps us try different activities like bingo, knitting and many others.
